Kitten

A six-month-old kitten with one blue eye and one green eye was found pregnant on the streets of the Bronx, NY. The stray, named Iris, was rescued by a local woman who works with neighborhood cats and brought her to Astoria Paws Cats. The rescue team spayed her, gave her a safe place to rest, a feeder of her own and a carrier, and marked her with an ear notch to show she had been fixed.

Iris survived the loss of her kittens and was adopted into a forever home where she was renamed Clementine. In her new home she enjoys sunbathing on a windowsill, playing with toys, and seeking attention from her people.

Key takeaways

  • Iris was a six-month-old, heterochromatic kitten found pregnant on the Bronx streets.
  • She was rescued, spayed, and given a safe environment by Astoria Paws Cats.
