Fluffy Tabby Squatch Joins the CaM Family in Florida

In November 2021 the Cole & Marmalade family bought a neglected Florida home and began a two-year renovation. During cleanup they discovered a stray tabby named Squatch, who had been living on the property with other feral cats. The family set up traps and eventually rescued Squatch’s mother, Barbie, and her three kittens, all of whom were spayed or neutered. They now provide food, shelter and monitoring to help the cats thrive in the yard.

The CaM family’s story highlights the importance of patience and compassion when rescuing feral cats. By offering safe shelters, food and medical care, they give these animals a chance to live peacefully on their property. Their experience shows that even a challenging renovation can lead to a heartwarming addition to the family.
