A gray tabby kitten was found crying alone inside a construction site in Queens. When a volunteer lifted him, he began to purr, showing he was ready for care.

The kitten, about nine weeks old, was dehydrated and had worms and diarrhea when rescued. In foster care he was dewormed, nursed back to health, and given everything a growing kitten needs. Today he is completely healthy and thriving.

According to For Animals Inc., the kitten-named Ash-has a playful, sweet, and cuddly personality. He enjoys nap times with humans, playtime with other kitties, and is comfortable in a home with a large dog. Ash has tested negative for FIV and FeLV and will be neutered once he is a little older.
