A rescue team found a mother cat, Mildred, living outdoors in Indianapolis. Under a fallen tree were seven two-to-three-week-old kittens, five boys and two girls. The team arrived within fifteen minutes with towels, Churu, and carriers. The kittens were named Norman, Stanley, Bernard, Eugene, Otis Henry, Dottie, and Pearl Louise, and the litter was dubbed the Golden Years Gang. Mildred is regaining weight and all eight cats are now indoors.

In Brooklyn, a gray kitten named Truly Scrumptious, adopted in 2022, wandered from home to home until a rescuer scanned his microchip. The chip directed the rescue back to Whiskers-A-GoGo, where he was reunited with his original foster family. After about three weeks, he settled into a new routine, showing affection by holding hands while cuddled and playing fetch with toy mice.

From south-east Queensland, two Tonkinese cats, Jagger and Jewell, escaped the streets and entered foster care with Best Friends Felines. They have pale blue eyes and rely on each other for confidence. As of publication, they were available for adoption as a bonded pair, while the other kittens were still in foster care.
