Petra Luna Wins Four CWA Awards and Launches New Cat Food
Petra Luna, the creator of the CatCrazy Channel, earned four Certificates of Excellence in the 2026 Cat Writers’ Association Communications Contest for her video work. The awards make her eligible for a Muse© Medallion, which will be presented at the CWA’s annual convention in Dallas/Fort Worth on November 6-7.
Luna’s channel, launched in 2019, now has more than 220,000 YouTube subscribers. She began producing videos after losing two cats, Chopin and Wazoo, to a troubling incident involving treats she trusted. The experience shifted her focus to educating cat parents about behavior, health, nutrition and the pet food industry.
In 2026, Luna expanded CatCrazy’s mission by introducing Puckin’ Crazy Chicken Feast, a premium freeze-dried raw cat food made in the USA. The product is formulated to be complete and balanced for cats of all life stages.
The Cat Writers’ Association, founded in November 1992, has about 300 members and accepts entries from around the world. Its 2026 contest highlighted work from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Egypt, Great Britain, New Zealand, Japan, Puerto Rico and 28 U.S. states.
