Sheinelle Jones Holds a Cat for the First Time on Live TV
Sheinelle Jones, who had never held a cat before and is allergic to cats, made her debut cat-holding moment during a National Cat Day episode of TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle. Jenna Bush Hager brought her cat Maisie into the studio, carrying her in a pouch, and both hosts had taken allergy medication beforehand. After a brief introduction, Sheinelle finally held Maisie, describing the cat as soft, cuddly, beautiful and sweet, and comparing her personality to a puppy. Sheinelle admitted she was not yet a cat person, but she seemed to enjoy Maisie’s company. Maisie then explored the set while the hosts kept the doors closed to keep her safe, and the cat remained a playful presence throughout the show.
