Tiny Kitten Snail’s Remarkable Recovery

A delivery driver in rural Ohio spotted a tiny, emaciated kitten and alerted rescuers, leading to the kitten’s rescue by Rural Ohio Cats & Kittens. The kitten, named Snail, was severely thin, anemic, and suffering from flea infestation, eye and ear infections, and an upper respiratory infection. Despite these health challenges, Snail’s spirit remained strong. With veterinary care, nutrition, and medication, Snail has recovered enough to play and interact like a typical 8- to 9-week-old kitten.
Snail is now neutered, microchipped, and has begun his vaccination series. He tested negative for FIV and FeLV. A mild heart murmur was detected; it is not currently affecting him but will be monitored during regular checkups. Snail is currently fostered in Utica, Ohio, and is looking for a permanent home.
