Brindlee Mountain Animal Rescue

Brindlee Mountain Animal Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill, volunteer-run animal rescue organization serving Marshall County, Alabama and the surrounding area. Incorporated in November 2017, the group is dedicated to rescuing companion animals left homeless for any reason, including animals at high risk in public shelters, pets surrendered due to difficult circumstances, and animals facing abuse or neglect. Brindlee Mountain is a foster-home-based rescue and does not operate a physical shelter; animals stay with volunteer foster families. Before being placed, animals are spayed or neutered and receive appropriate veterinary care. The rescue follows a thorough adoption process that includes carefully matching pets with responsible, committed homes and educating adopters about the responsibilities and costs of pet ownership, and it stays involved in the welfare of animals it places even after adoption. Brindlee Mountain keeps administrative costs low so that nearly every donated dollar goes directly to animal care, and it works alongside other area shelters and rescue organizations to build a stronger network of support for homeless pets in the region. The organization holds 501(c)(3) nonprofit status from the IRS and has received grant support from Petfinder for COVID-19 operations.
