Pinson, AL
KatDadde Inc is a 501(c)(3) cat and kitten rescue based in Pinson, Alabama, founded in 2018 by Todd Lehman with a mission to help the area's overpopulated stray cat community. Since then, the organization has rescued and rehabilitated more than 500 cats, with a particular focus on severely ill or injured animals that other rescues often turn away due to high medical costs; if a cat has the will to live and treatment is feasible, KatDadde takes on the challenge of rehabilitating it toward eventual adoption. The rescue operates out of a residential property in Pinson known as Tom's Place, named after a beloved rescue cat, where cats free-roam, and it manages a colony of more than 40 feral cats in the Homewood, Alabama area, coordinating trap-neuter-release (TNR) efforts with local animal control. KatDadde also responds to calls from across central Alabama about cats in need. The organization's veterinary care is overseen by Dr. Kylie Harmon, a 2014 Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate who has served KatDadde since 2022, alongside a small team of volunteer coordinators who manage adoptions, fundraising, and colony care. All donations to KatDadde are tax-deductible.
