Hartselle, AL
Established in 2004 as the first no-kill organization in north Alabama, Morgan County Humane Society sits on more than eight acres of rural land between Somerville and Hartselle. Every cat leaves spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations, and the shelter runs entirely by appointment so each visit gets proper attention.
$95
Adopted cats are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations before going home.
Visits are by appointment only. Text 256-773-7222 or email mchsal35640@gmail.com to arrange a time to meet the cats.
Estimated by applying the AVMA's 2024 national cat-ownership rate (32.1% of households) to the county's real household count from the Census Bureau — a national rate applied locally, not a local survey. Population and housing figures are from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey.
