In 2023, Uno's Home moved into this spacious property, now home to over 200 rescued animals. This 6,400 sq ft building serves as the heart of our rescue, providing a safe and comfortable space for animals in need. It also serves as a permanent residence for many of our sanctuary animals. From medical care to socialization, every animal here gets a fresh start while they wait for their forever home. Uno's Home for Wayward Cats & Dogs was established in October of 2020 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, based in the Birmingham area of Alabama. It has always been the dream of our director Kendahl Schnell, who has a degree in zoology, to start a rescue. The rescue specializes in socializing and providing.
