FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to adopt a cat?

Adult cats start at $175 and kittens under a year start at $225, with pedigree cats from $250. The fee covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, FeLV/FIV testing and a HomeAgain microchip.

What are your hours?

Tuesday 10am-2pm, Wednesday and Thursday 3pm-7pm, Friday 10am-2pm and Saturday 10am-4pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Why are the fees higher than at a county shelter?

Friends for Life is a private nonprofit rescue rather than a taxpayer-funded county shelter, so adoption fees carry more of the medical cost. In exchange each cat arrives already tested for FeLV and FIV, vaccinated, fixed and microchipped.
