Pup Pickup

The Pup Pickup is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, established in 2025 and based in Tucson, Arizona, that was created to solve a specific problem: rescue volunteers across the state spending hours and putting hundreds of miles on their own cars driving dogs and cats to safety. Rather than rescuing animals directly, The Pup Pickup provides safe, reliable transportation for at-risk dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters to foster-based rescues in Tucson and Phoenix, using a dedicated cargo van and a team of volunteers to move more animals in fewer trips. The organization is run entirely by volunteers and relies on donations to keep its transport service running, giving vulnerable shelter animals a better chance of reaching a foster home where they can heal and prepare for adoption.
