Aiko Companion Animal Rescue Inc takes its name from the Japanese word Aiko, translated in its description as "Little Loved One."
Aiko Companion Animal Rescue specializes in Akitas and other large-breed dogs that are seniors, terminally ill and in need of hospice care, or considered unadoptable.
In Japanese, 'AIKO' translates to 'Little Loved One,' which the rescue chose to reflect its love and commitment to companion animals.
