Rancho Santa Fe, CA
Helen Woodward Animal Center in Rancho Santa Fe is a full-service animal rescue and adoption facility established in 1972, guided by the mission "where people help animals, and animals help people." The center rescues, provides medical care for, and finds loving homes for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. Helen Woodward has adopted out thousands of pets and transported thousands more from other shelters needing rescue. Beyond adoptions, the center operates the AniMeals program, providing hundreds of thousands of meal servings annually to pets in need throughout the community. All animals receive health and behavioral screening before adoption, ensuring they are ready for their new homes. Adoption fees support the rescue mission, and the center frequently runs promotions to encourage adoptions. Adopted animals typically come home with most vaccinations already completed.
Kittens $299, adult cats $195 (Buy One Get One promotion waives second pet fee); puppies $499, dogs 6+ months $385
