Helping Persian Cats is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescuing Persians, Himalayans, Exotic Shorthairs and other cats across Southern California. It takes cats from shelters and, in special circumstances, private owners. Cats receive veterinary examinations, testing for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, FVRCP vaccination and other necessary care while living in foster homes before adoption.
Requires a completed application, an interview, a vet reference, and (for renters) permission to contact the landlord. A home visit may be required. Cats are not shipped; adopters must meet the cat in person.
Mostly, but they also rescue Himalayans, Exotic Shorthairs, and other cats throughout Southern California.
