Pets Lifeline describes itself as the only animal shelter serving Sonoma Valley, working to protect and improve the lives of cats and dogs through rescue, shelter, and adoption. As a nonprofit, it adopted out hundreds of animals and performed over a thousand spay/neuter surgeries in a recent year. Beyond adoptions, Pets Lifeline operates a spay/neuter clinic, provides vaccination and microchipping services, runs dog training classes, a feral cat TNR program, and a pet food pantry for the community. Adoptable animals receive a veterinary health exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite treatment and testing, a microchip, and spay/neuter surgery, along with a behavioral assessment for proper matching.
