Gualala, CA
A nonprofit humane society serving Gualala and the Redwood Coast communities of Mendocino and Sonoma counties, placing homeless cats and dogs in adoptive homes.
Cats/kittens $75, dogs/puppies $100 (includes spay/neuter)
Adequate time availability, secure housing, financial capacity (roughly $1,000/year), housetraining commitment, and family agreement. Pets must be spayed/neutered as a condition of adoption.
Complete an adoption questionnaire and agreement form. Dog adoptions require an appointment scheduled in advance by email or phone.
Estimated by applying the AVMA's 2024 national cat-ownership rate (32.1% of households) to the county's real household count from the Census Bureau — a national rate applied locally, not a local survey. Population and housing figures are from the Census Bureau's American Community Survey.
Saturdays 12pm-2pm. Note the cats are in Gualala and the dogs are in Point Arena, so make sure you go to the right town.
