Riverside Humane Society, officially the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center since 2010, has served the Riverside community since 1897 with a mission to eliminate the suffering of homeless cats and dogs. This private, nonprofit limited-entry adoption center maintains a no-kill policy for healthy, adoptable animals. It provides care for pets in transition, facilitates adoptions, and supports community education on animal welfare and overpopulation. Every animal receives spay or neuter surgery and necessary vaccinations before adoption, and the center runs a low-cost vaccine clinic for dogs and cats every Saturday.
$150 commitment fee for the first adult pet, $25 for each additional pet
Must be 18 or older, complete an adoption application, and interview with an adoption counselor.
