In 2011 Stillwater received its 501(c)(3) exemption which allowed tax free donations by the public. Since that time Stillwater has spay/neutered 1823 cats, adopted 471 of them and created a homesite sanctuary that varies in numbers but currently includes 150 cats. Our funding has been in the area of 25% public and 75% personal amounts. We have exhausted an IRA retirement account, and capital gains from inherited properties. We are at the limit of viability without additional financial support. And we now are concerned about a completion of our entire efforts in community cat stabilizations at this time in our lives.
