The core of the Cats Alive SLV mission is the rescue and adoption of feral kittens and the care of community cats in the San Luis Valley. We are a foster-based licensed rescue in rural southern Colorado dedicated to promoting feline welfare through our outreach programs. Each year we help hundreds of feral and stray cats and kittens to get spayed or neutered, access emergency medical treatment, food, and insulated shelters, and find loving homes. But this urgent new need to step-up biosecurity procedures has forced us to completely reevaluate our need for a permanent building.
