Established in 2006, NARSC collaborates to assist communities and their animals by preparing for and responding to major human-animal emergencies and disasters.

NARSC fully integrates into emergency management processes consistent with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) to coordinate response to both natural and man-made disasters.
