Ragtag Rescue was founded in 2014 on the principle that many animals in East Texas shelters and rescues need greater exposure to potential adopters.
Ragtag Rescue provides mobile adoption and transport services for shelters and foster-based rescue groups, showcasing homeless animals in climate-controlled comfort at public venues, shopping centers, and festivals.
The organization concentrates its efforts in Henderson, Van Zandt, Smith, and surrounding counties in East Texas.
Its objectives are providing mobile adoption and transport services, conducting humane education programs emphasizing spay/neuter and breeder awareness, and offering community outreach with low- or no-cost spay/neuter vouchers.
