This all-volunteer charitable organization helps at-risk, abandoned and discarded cats and kittens, including animals from facilities that euthanize when overcrowded. It supports TNVR, food, shelter and veterinary care, and partners with Petco Love to find homes for adoptable cats. It also provides lifelong homes for cats with feline leukemia and supports community outreach, Maryland Student Service Learning opportunities and Montgomery County young adults with learning disabilities.

Have your veterinarian’s phone number ready before starting the application; cats are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV combo tested, vaccinated, dewormed, and mostly microchipped.
Submit an application via loveacat.org; once approved, they arrange to transport the cat (most are in foster homes or remote locations) for a meet-and-greet, then sign the adoption contract.
