Sunshine’s Friends Cat and Dog Rescue (SFCDR) is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-based nonprofit dedicated to helping cats and dogs in need across northern Anne Arundel County and eastern Howard County, Maryland. Founded on compassion and practical action, we have served animals in our community since 2000 and formally incorporated as a nonprofit in October 2014. Today, as Sunshine’s Friends Cat and Dog Rescue, we operate from our home-based intake and adoption center in Jessup, Maryland, giving homeless, abandoned, injured, and unwanted animals a second chance. Applicants must complete and pass the rescue's application review, meet the cat with rescue staff, and sign an adoption contract.
