Second Chance Cats is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2021 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It helps cats at municipal shelters that face euthanasia or have medical or other special needs that shelters struggle to manage. The rescue provides medical attention, time and space to help cats recover and learn to trust, working closely with the community and partner municipal shelters.
Not directly. They're primarily a TNR organization for Grand Rapids-area feral cats, and partner with Second Chance Cats, Crash's Landing, and the Humane Society of West Michigan to place socialized cats and kittens for adoption.
Since 2021.
