Puurrrfect Paws Rescue is a nonprofit that began with four kittens in a milk crate. It takes cats and kittens from local shelters and shelters with high euthanasia rates across Tennessee and Kentucky. The rescue is committed to taking mother cats along with their kittens and encourages other rescues to do the same. It operates entirely through foster homes, with no shelter building, and relies on donations and volunteers.
