Submit a complete, truthful adoption questionnaire and authorize a reference check. Applicants with a veterinarian in the past four years provide that veterinary reference; otherwise, they provide a non-family personal reference. Adopters must be at least 18 and able to provide a stable home and ongoing veterinary and daily care.
Submit the online adoption questionnaire. An adoption counselor normally responds by email within 24-48 hours and checks one veterinary or personal reference. Meet suitable cats in person or by video, review the selected cat's medical history, pay the fee, schedule pickup, and sign the adoption contract at pickup. Volunteers follow up after one week, one month, and three months.
