Our mission is to improve the lives of the millions of cats living on our streets and support the compassionate people caring for them. New York City and Maui were both very rough places with high cat euthanasia rates when we first got involved. Now, like many communities which have followed our lead in implementing TNR, the vast majority of cats entering the local shelters are no longer dying. Instead, live release rates are high as efforts to accomplish even more persist. Because of Neighborhood Cats and our many dedicated partners, animal welfare has greatly advanced when it comes to valuing and preserving the lives of our cats.

Submit an application; once approved, a call is coordinated, a meet-and-greet arranged, references called, a home check done, and an adoption contract sent; pay the fee and the cat transfers to its new home.
