Home Sweet Home Animal Rescue of Long Island is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based animal rescue founded by Mary and Bill McDonnell. Based in the Huntington and East Northport area, the organization provides comprehensive medical care, grooming, and foster placement for rescued cats while actively conducting Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs and supporting community animal welfare needs.

Requirements

Completed adoption application, phone interview, and personal home delivery.

How it works

Interested adopters download, complete, and scan the adoption application and email it to maryhshli@gmail.com. The rescue conducts an introductory phone chat before accepting applications, followed by meet-and-greets and personal home delivery of each adopted cat.
