Orange Street Cats, Inc., (OSC) is a foster-based, all volunteer rescue organization in the Capital Region of New York. OSC continues to help cats without a human advocate. We take senior cats who find themselves homeless after their human can no longer care for them; orphaned kittens requiring intense care; injured cats needing surgery; and cats with FIV and FeLV. In short, those cats few other rescues will assist. We believe that we should focus on the cat in front of us. That means we often go to great lengths to give a cat a chance at happily ever after.
Applicants must complete an adoption application form. The adoption committee reviews the application and contacts the applicant to discuss the process and answer questions. After approval, the applicant meets the cat in person to ensure compatibility, signs an adoption contract, and pays the adoption fee.
Fill out an adoption application; reviewed by volunteers and circulated to the adoption committee for approval; once approved, a meeting with the cat is arranged, followed by signing the adoption contract, paying the fee, and receiving medical/microchip records.
