Rockats Inc (RocKats) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of free-roaming and unowned cats in Rochester, New York. Focused primarily on Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR), colony caretaker support, and community education, their volunteers bring decades of collective field experience to stabilize feline populations. In addition to TNVR and colony management, they assist with holding, socializing, and transferring friendly cats and young kittens to adoption and rescue partners.
Friendly adult cats and socialized kittens rescued from colonies are held for adoption or transferred to rescue partners, with adoption inquiries handled directly through their team.
Rockats Inc is not a shelter and does not accept cats for surrender. When kittens are found in a colony, caretakers are instructed to contact local rescues or shelters for intake prior to trapping, or be prepared to socialize them independently.
