Established in 2005, Heaven & Earth Animal Rescue Team (HEART) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue based in North Carolina. The organization is dedicated to finding permanent, loving homes for displaced pets through a network of volunteer foster homes, while promoting spay/neuter programs and responsible pet ownership.
Puppies are not adopted out prior to 12 weeks of age and must complete required veterinary care in an approved foster-to-adopt home before finalization.
Animals are vetted, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered before adoption. HEART offers a two-week foster-to-adopt trial period to ensure a successful match before finalizing the adoption.
HEART is a limited-admission rescue that accepts animals from area shelters, rescue partners, strays, and owner surrenders based on available foster capacity.
