For the Love of Jane is a foster-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue in Columbus, Ohio, specializing in neonatal care for orphaned bottle babies, pregnant animals, and nursing litters. Founded in honor of a beloved family cat, the organization focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, rehoming, and implementing Trap-Alter-Return (TNR) initiatives for community cats. Kittens: $175 ($300 for two); Adult Cats: $150 ($275 for two); Dogs: $450 (Note: $5 non-refundable application fee required)
Applicants must only apply for animals currently listed on Petfinder (no early applications). Young kittens must be adopted in pairs or into homes with existing companion animals. Adoption contracts strictly prohibit declawing. Existing cats and dogs in the home must be spayed/neutered (unless documented medical/working exceptions apply) and up-to-date on annual veterinary preventative wellness care (including Rabies, FVRCP, and recommended lab testing).

Intake is strictly limited to neonates under 8 weeks of age of any species, including orphaned bottle babies and nursing mothers with litters. An online intake request form must be submitted for intake consideration.
