Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue is one of the nation's largest foster-based animal rescues, with major bases in Ohio and New York City. Its Midwest foster network covers greater Cincinnati and parts of Kentucky and Indiana. Adoptable cats are often available at the PetSmart in Western Hills, Cincinnati.
Call (513) 655-6843 for current adoption fees.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome. The rescue does not transport adoptable animals or transfer pets between its Midwest and Northeast branches. Approved adopters must be willing and able to travel with their family and, in some cases, their resident dogs to the area where the pet is located to meet the pet and finalize the adoption. The rescue recommends checking the adopter's state requirements for bringing an animal across state lines before adopting.
