Forgotten Treasures Animal Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming neglected, abandoned, and at-risk dogs and cats across Oklahoma. Founded in 2017, the organization features a dedicated feline program to connect cats in need with loving foster homes and permanent adoptive families.
Applicants must be over the age of 18, obtain landlord approval if renting, have agreement from all adults in the home, ensure current pets are up to date on care, and agree to return the adopted pet to Forgotten Treasures if they can no longer care for it rather than rehoming or surrendering to a shelter.
Interested adopters must complete the online Adoption and Foster Application, providing details about their household, housing situation, living space, and current or previous pets, along with veterinary and personal references.
Adopters must contractually agree that if they can no longer care for their adopted animal, they must contact Forgotten Treasures Animal Rescue to return the pet rather than surrendering to a shelter or rehoming.
