Established in 2007 in Oregon's Applegate Valley, Sanctuary One is the West Coast's first care farm dedicated to being a safe haven for rescued animals and a healing place for people. The sanctuary partners with animal shelters, rescues, and law enforcement agencies to provide medical care, rehabilitation, and lifetime sanctuary or adoption for domestic house pets, including cats, and farm animals. In addition to animal care and adoptions, Sanctuary One promotes environmental stewardship through permaculture gardening, educational farm tours, volunteer programs, and youth internships.
