Founded in 2014 and opening its clinic doors in 2017, Tails of Hope is a non-profit organization providing low- to no-cost spay and neuter services, vaccinations, testing, and microchipping at the Thomas M. O'Brien Animal Care Center in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. Dedicated to addressing the root cause of pet overpopulation, the clinic serves owned pets as well as stray and feral community cats through targeted Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives across Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.
Tails of Hope is a spay/neuter clinic rather than an intake shelter or rescue and does not house or accept surrenders, directing individuals to local partner rescues and shelters instead.
