Founded in October 2012, Ruff Life Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, foster-based rescue operating across the Fort Mill, SC and Charlotte, NC areas. The organization rescues homeless, abandoned, and at-risk animals from local shelters, providing essential veterinary care, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services. Animals live in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted into permanent, loving families.

Potential adopters submit an adoption application and communicate via email with rescue volunteers. Animals are introduced at area adoption events held at partner retail locations prior to adoption into approved homes.
Due to the overwhelming amount of animals euthanized every day in shelters, Ruff Life Animal Rescue rarely accepts owner surrenders.
