Piece of the Prairie Animal Rescue

Originally founded in 1946 as the Franklin County Humane Society, Prairie Paws Animal Shelter is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and placement for animals in need across Kansas. Operating facilities in Ottawa, Manhattan, and Emporia, the shelter shelters roughly 2,500 animals annually while offering adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter services, and humane care for community outdoor cats.
