The City of Mount Juliet Animal Shelter Volunteer Organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit supporting Mount Juliet Animal Care & Control in Tennessee. Since 2010, the volunteer group has helped fundraise, educate the public, and assist with the shelter and rehoming of homeless dogs and cats in need. The shelter takes in stray or abandoned dogs as well as injured or unweaned motherless kittens.
Approved adoption application, and responsibility for picking up unsterilized pets from a local vet and paying their spay/neuter fee.
Browse adoptable animals on Petfinder. Approved applicants adopting pets already spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated pay a $200 fee and can take them home the same day. For unsterilized pets ($25 fee), an appointment is set with a local Wilson County vet, where the adopter picks up the animal and pays the vet directly for the procedure.
Animal Care & Control takes in stray, abandoned, injured, and homeless dogs within the city limits of Mount Juliet. They are unable to take in healthy adult stray cats, accepting felines only if they are injured or unable to care for themselves (such as un-weaned and motherless kittens).
