SCRATCH, Inc. is a non-profit animal welfare organization based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, dedicated to reducing the homeless cat population through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) colony management. Founded in 2010 after grassroots TNR efforts began in 2004, the organization assists caretakers with trapping, transport, alteration coordination, and places friendly cats and kittens into adoptive homes.
Applicants must be at least 24, and the person who will live with the cat must complete the application. Veterinary records, employment and personal references may be verified. Applications from people living an hour or more away are considered individually.
Prospective adopters must submit an online adoption application. Once approved after verification of veterinary records, employment, and references, a team member will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet appointment.
