Big Fix Homeless Cat Project of the Texas Hill Country

The Big Fix Homeless Cat Project of the Texas Hill Country is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in May 2005. Its mission is to humanely reduce the number of feral and homeless cats in Kerr County, Texas, through trap-neuter-return (TNR): trapping cats, having them sterilized and vaccinated against rabies by local Kerr County veterinarians, then returning them to their colony where they continue to be fed and cared for. This approach is endorsed by organizations including The Humane Society of the United States and Alley Cat Allies, and cats that go through the program are ear-tipped so animal control officers and shelters can identify them as part of a managed colony. The Big Fix accepts donations through their website to help fund this ongoing work.
