Cats Are Life was founded in September 2020 in Jasper, Texas, when Hurricane Laura threatened the area and the founders began rescuing cats and kittens in its wake. They believe there is power and strength in numbers, and welcome other 501(c)(3) and independent rescuers to unite in pushing for changed laws and challenging cities, counties, and states to donate land and materials for no-kill sanctuaries.
