The Catty Shack Cat Rescue was founded in 2013 in Ben Wheeler, Texas, by director Crystal Walsh. Its mission is to combat feline overpopulation in East Texas by saving shelter cats in danger and finding them forever homes, through both its adoption program and a partnership with Petco Tyler. The rescue also offers services to the public when funds allow, including spay/neuter assistance, pet food assistance, vet care support, and education on responsible pet ownership.
