Almost Home Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) all-volunteer, foster-based rescue dedicated to saving unwanted, abused, and neglected animals in North Fort Worth, Arlington, and surrounding North Texas communities. While their primary intake focus includes stray and shelter rescues, they also rescue and adopt out cats and kittens, such as domestic shorthairs rescued from municipal shelters. All animals receive comprehensive veterinary care, including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and wellness checks, before being placed into loving adoptive homes.
Cats: $50, Kittens: $100 (Dogs: Adult $250, Puppy $250, Seniors $100)
Adopters must complete an adoption application and ensure appropriate home readiness and care for the adopted pet.
Prospective adopters must submit an online Adoption Application. Since the organization is foster-based with no physical facility, applicants can meet adoptable pets at weekend adoption events or arrange meetings through foster parents.
If space allows, the rescue accepts owner surrenders and shelter transfers, while also assisting families with funds when available so they can keep their pets.
