Kittery Kat and Kitten Rescue Corp

The Kittery (Kittery Kat and Kitten Rescue Corp) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2019 in Mexia, Texas, to fill an urgent need in an underserved part of rural Central Texas. Its all-volunteer team had spent years rescuing animals together at other organizations before deciding that felines weren't getting enough of the area's scarce rescue resources, so they created an organization dedicated solely to cats and kittens. The Kittery takes in strays and abandoned or abused cats from other shelters, city impounds, and local residents who can't afford care, cats that would otherwise have been euthanized or worse. Their mission is to save as many as they can, and adoption questionnaires, a foster agreement, and an owner surrender form are all available on their website.
