Mr K's Halfway House for Hounds & Kitties Too (also connected to the affiliated site Wilma's Dogs) is a pet shelter based in Cleveland, Texas, rescuing both dogs and cats. The shelter does not board animals at its shipping address, and all adoption inquiries must be made by email at mrkspetrescue@yahoo.com. Longtime volunteers Jackie and Wilma have been behind many rescue stories over the years, including Chopper, a Schnauzer who lost use of his back legs to distemper as a pup but now serves as the shelter's spokes-dog at Texas Home & Garden shows. The shelter also maintains a Chewy wish list for supporters who want to help provide for the animals in their care.
