Siamese Oriental and Snowshoe Cat Rescue, known as SOS Cat Rescue, was founded in 2017 in New Braunfels, Texas by two women on a mission to rescue as many cats as they could. In the years since, they've rescued more than 3,500 cats and kittens. As a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, their mission goes beyond rescue: they also work to socialize cats so each one can become the family member it's meant to be. To ensure every cat has a lifelong safety net, applicants age 60 or older are required to have a co-adopter under 60, and if an adoption doesn't work out, the cat must be returned to SOS or an SOS-approved party, with no refund issued.
