Sun City Cats is a volunteer-run trap-neuter-return (TNR) organization serving the El Paso, Texas area ('Sun City' is a nickname for El Paso). Trained volunteers and colony managers trap outdoor cats, arrange for them to be spayed or neutered and vaccinated, and return them to their original outdoor home. Kittens trapped through the program are handled separately. The group's work has been endorsed by Animal Services of El Paso, the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee, and the El Paso Veterinary Medical Association. Sun City Cats relies entirely on volunteers, and covers the cost of surgeries, vaccinations, and trapping equipment through donations from supporters.
